A funeral service for Tippie Edward Hudnall, 88, of Gloucester Point, was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 8 in Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. He died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014.
Mr. Hudnall was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served on the USS Shikellamy and the USS Okaloosa. During his service in the Navy, he received the American Area Medal, Victory World War II Medal, Asiatic Pacific Medal and the Philippine Liberation Medal. He retired from James River Reserve Fleet in 1981.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Hudnall; four children, Edward Hudnall, John Hudnall, Debra Emerson and Timothy Hudnall; sister, Katherine Withrow; eight grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
The service was conducted by the Rev. Bob Robbins. Interment with military honors followed in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery.
