Tidewater SWCD hosts annual youth poster contest

Tidewater Soil and Water Conservation District is accepting hand-drawn, additionally assisted, graphic design, and braille poster art from students in grades K-12, including homeschoolers, to compete in their annual poster contest.
Applicants must reside in the counties of Gloucester, Mathews and Middlesex. Annually, the National Association of Conservation Districts selects a theme for the national conservation outreach initiative. This year’s theme is “Home is where the habitat is.”
Posters may range in size, but must not be smaller than 8.5” x 11”. Posters must have “Home is where the habitat is” written on the front of the poster to be eligible to compete at the state and national level. All types of media may be used to create the artwork. The graphic design competition category is open for 7-12th grade entries only.
