The York River Circle of The King’s Daughters and Sons still had 15 tickets available as of Oct. 14 for its upcoming Book Author Luncheon, to be held at noon this Friday, Oct. 21, at Providence Baptist Church on Providence Road in Hayes.

The guest speaker is Connie Lapallo, who has written three historical novels about Jamestown.

Proceeds from the luncheon will benefit CHKD in Norfolk, as well as several organizations in Gloucester, said a press release.

Tickets at $30 are available at The Silver Box on Main Street in Gloucester.
