Tickets are now on sale for the 2024 Gloucester Arts Festival, with a wealth of cultural events to be held from May 31 through June 29 at various venues in Gloucester. In addition to ticketed events, there will be free community activities and entertainment.

Home to one of the premier Plein Air Invitational competitions in the Southeast, the festival celebrates arts both from around the world and right here in Gloucester, said a press release.

The festival will kick off on Friday, May 31, at Machicomoco State Park with Brews, Brine, and Wine from 5-8:30 p.m., offering six oysters and a beer or glass of wine in the ticket price of $25, along with several food trucks and wine and beer tents, with entertainment by the RaJazz Band.

The next day, the festival will move to Main Street for the all-day Paint Main competition, offering the public an opportunity to watch professional and community artists paint scenes along Main Street during a two-hour period and enter them in the art...
