The Yorktown Wine and Oyster Festival returns to Riverwalk Landing from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4, for a weekend of fine wine, fresh oysters, live entertainment, artisan shopping, and waterfront views along the York River. Wine enthusiasts can sample a selection of Virginia wines alongside sparkling and international selections, including Rieslings from Germany and champagne from France in celebration of Yorktown’s sister cities. Early Bird pricing is available through Aug. 30, offering guests the best value before prices increase: $40 (Saturday grand tasting), $30 (Sunday grand tasting) or $65 (two-day grand tasting). Prices increase to $50, $35 and $85 for those three options on Aug. 31. A non-drinking admission is $20. Live music on the schedule includes, on Saturday, Oct. 3: noon, The Fifes & Drums of York Town; 12:30-3 p.m., The Original Rhondels, and 3:30-6 p.m., Party Fins.
