Threshing Day

The Northern Neck Farm Museum will host its annual Threshing Day from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, July 8. Demonstrations are planned with antique combines and binding machines; a release said threshing is “the process of loosening the edible part of grain from the scaly, inedible chaff that surrounds it.” The museum is located at 12705 Northumberland Highway, Heathsville, and is open to the public May through October, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays and 1-4 p.m. Sundays.
