Three charged following robbery at Gloucester Inn Motel

Two 20-year-old Gloucester men and a 17-year-old girl were charged after a Dec. 9 robbery inside a room at the Gloucester Inn Motel at Gloucester Point, according to Major Ryan Cookson of the Gloucester Sheriff’s Office.

Cookson said the three suspects entered an occupied room at the motel around 10 p.m. where an assault occurred and various items were taken from two victims, including cash. He said a firearm was used while committing the crime and the three suspects left in a vehicle.

Soon after, Gloucester Sheriff’s deputies located and stopped the suspect vehicle within the county and detained one of the suspects. A firearm was also recovered from the vehicle.

Early the next morning, the GSO executed a search warrant at a Gloucester residence where they arrested the two other suspects. Cookson said the firearm used in the robbery was recovered along with some of the stolen items.
