T.C. Walker Elementary School principal Bambi Thompson was appointed principal at Botetourt Elementary by the Gloucester School Board in personnel actions during its April 10 meeting. The change is effective July 1. Thompson will replace Botetourt principal Michelle Cagnon, who is retiring.

In another contract change, technology technician Keli Gabel was appointed as the division database support manager, effective April 11.
The board also approved retirement for Gloucester High School history teacher Alfred Ailsworth Jr., Achilles Elementary first grade teacher Carolyn Hoover and Page Middle School teacher assistant Charlotte Duke.

In addition, resignations were accepted from Petsworth Elementary special education teacher Jennifer Harris and Abingdon Elementary autism teacher Lorri Presson, effective at the end of the school year. A resignation was also accepted from GHS swim coach Dawn Clark, effective March 21.
