THOMAS W. ROSEN III

Thomas W. Rosen III of Bena, passed away suddenly on July 1, 2017.

Born Sept. 15, 1985, Thomas was a graduate of Gloucester High School. He had a kind, caring personality with empathy for all and will be sorely missed by those who knew him.

Thomas is survived by                 his parents, T. Whitcomb “Whit” Rosen Jr. and Claudia Little Rosen; brother, Matthew Christopher Rosen and his wife Mariellen; brother, Jeremy Adams; special niece Alexia Adams, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Thomas was an accomplished chef traveling to Arizona, Florida, and Arkansas and working last season in the Grand Canyon. Thomas had recently returned to Virginia and begun a career which he loved as a fire alarm and suppression installer in Richmond.

Art was Thomas’s passion as he created unique sketches, intricate terrariums contained in lightbulbs, guitars out of cigar boxes, and various wood carvings. A lover of the outdoors, Thomas was just pursuing a new hobby—kayaking.

The family will receive friends from 5:30-7 p.m. on Friday, July 7 at Hogg Funeral Home, 3098 George Washington Memorial Highway, Gloucester Point, Va. 23062.  A Celebration of Thomas’s life will immediately follow the visitation.

As Thomas was a devoted caregiver to animals his entire life, in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society, P.O. Box 385, Gloucester, Va. 23061.
