THOMAS M. KERNS

Thomas M. Kerns of Gloucester, was born Jan. 7, 1962, and passed away July 19, 2013 at the age of 51.

Thomas was taken from his family much too soon, and now is with loved ones who have gone on before. He was a self-employed contractor owning Kenwood Builders.

He had a passion for the beach, being on the water and waterskiing. Thomas was a Master Craftsman that was so evident in his work and he had a great vision that completely satisfied his clients. He enjoyed music and being with friends. Thomas was enjoyed by everyone in so many different ways. He loved and lived life with all his heart and that would be his wish for everyone who loved and cared for him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles J. Kerns Sr.

He is survived by his son, Ford Kerns and Ford’s mother, Rosemary Coleman; mother, Dolores W. Kerns; companion, Gayle Clay; brothers, Charles Kerns Jr. and wife Gail, M. Vernon Kerns III, and John M. R. Kerns; sisters, Debbie Kerns-Anderson, Norma Jean Kerns Edwards and husband Bruce; nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

A memorial service conducted by the Rev. Theodore H. McConnell was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Ware Episcopal Church. A reception followed in the Parish House.
