Thomas Leroy Green, 75, of Gloucester, died July 31, 2017 at home.

Thomas, a Gloucester native, followed his family’s heritage working on the water all his life. He loved to hunt, and was an amazing “back yard” mechanic, as he could fix anything. He was a Yankees fan, jokester, people person, and was devoted to his family. Thomas will be missed, but is always in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by parents, Thomas J. and Margaret J. Green, and sister, Mary Eva Hall.

He is survived by his longtime girlfriend and soul mate, Sarah JoAnn Greenway; his children, Theresa Ann Montroy (Chris), Brenda Sue Gibson, Mark Timothy Green (Christy), Brian Keith Green (Jennifer), Tammy Kaye Andrews (Michael), Michelle Lynn Turlington (Susan), April Dawn Green and Shelbie Marie Green (Kyle M. Farner); stepchildren, Kathy Barrow (Mike) and James Carol Jenkins (Elizabeth Bryan); 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Wayne Green (Carolyn); sisters, Shirley J. Musolino, Evelyn Hall and Linda Sue Surprise, and special beloved friend, Dorothy Carolyn Green.

A celebration of life service conducted by the Rev. Dr. Rodney Autry will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 7, 2017, at Union Baptist Church, Hayes. The family will greet friends at the church prior to the service on Monday beginning at 10 o’clock.
