Thomas Floyd Berryman, 79, of Newport News, passed away on Friday, Feb. 26, 2016.

He was born in Newport News, Va., and was the son of the late John J. and Marion Spencer Berryman Jr. He was employed at the shipyard where he worked in the material section. He was employed from 1961-1992. He was a member of Petsworth Baptist Church. 

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Beverly Jenkins, and brother, John J. Berryman III.

He is survived by his wife, Imogen Berryman; daughter, Karen Perkins; sister, Nancy Blaylock; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Family received friends on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2-3 p.m. with services at 3 in the chapel of Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory.

Memorial donations may be made to either Petsworth Baptist Church or to the American Heart Association.
