THMS to hold Motor Show and Halloween Bash on Oct. 31

Thomas Hunter Middle School will hold its inaugural Motor Show and Halloween Bash from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31, according to assistant principal Ken Noonan.

The public is invited to join the students and staff of THMS in this fundraising event, which will include a motor show, live music, trunk or treat, haunted trail, food trucks, a 50/50 raffle and more.

The event is free for spectators. The entry fee for participants in the motor show will be a minimum of $10 and a bowl of candy for the trunk or treat. Awards will be given for Best in Show, Student’s Choice, Teacher’s Choice and winners in the following class categories: pre-1900 to 1949; 1950s and 1960s; 1970s and 1980s; 1990s and 2000s; Motorcycle; 4×4 truck and Rat Rod. If the number of entries exceeds current COVID-19 guidelines for gatherings, organizers will consider splitting the event across different days yet to be determined.

Thursday, Oct. 15 is the deadline to register. Social distancing will be encouraged at the event. All proceeds will go to support activities for students enrolled at the middle school. Nov. 14 is the rain date.
