THMS students hold Weighted Angels Stuffing Party

A group of students from Thomas Hunter Middle School recently took part in a Weighted Angels Stuffing Party as part of a service project led by the school’s Family and Consumer Science teacher, Michelle Williams.

Williams explores culinary arts, nutrition and wellness, textile arts, family structures, financial literacy, and early childhood development with her students. Local citizens and civic groups have donated thousands of dollars’ worth of materials, equipment, and finances to make this course possible.

The students will also attend the upcoming FCCLA State Leadership and Recognition Conference in Virginia Beach, where they will share their experiences in supporting the Weighted Angels organization.
