THMS hosts Halloween Hot Rods car show and vendor sale on Oct. 30

Thomas Hunter Middle School will host its second annual Halloween Hot Rods and Classics Car Show and Trunk or Treat event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30, at the Mathews County School.

This is a community event and fundraiser to support student activities at THMS. The event has expanded this year to include 20 different Best in Class categories in addition to Best in Show, Kid’s Choice, Teacher’s Choice, and Best Halloween Display. The entry fee for car show participants is $15 and a bowl of candy at your ride for the trunk or treat. The event is free for spectators and Trunk or Treaters.

Vendors’ market

Also in response to several local festivals canceling earlier this fall, Thomas Hunter will also be sponsoring the Haunted Merchants’ Market so that local vendors have a place to sell their wares. This event will run concurrently in the field next to where the car show is being held. Vendor spaces can be purchased for $25.
