Thomas Hunter Middle School’s fourth annual Founder’s Day program will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday at locations throughout the Mathews school.

This year’s program is titled “Welcome to Our House” with the community invited to get a peek at the accomplishments of the current crop of middle schoolers.

The event will begin with an opening reception from 6-7 p.m. in the Brooks Auditorium, with complimentary desserts and beverages catered by the cafeteria staff. School tours will also be offered at this time. From 7-8, visitors will be encouraged to take part in eight rotating sessions conducted by 15 teachers and their students.

The THMS Book Fair will also be held during this period in the school library. The public is encouraged to stop by both events, according to assistant principal and Founder’s Day organizer Amy Hauser. ...
