Thomas Hunter Middle School’s Junior Beta Club will hold its Big Beta event from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Mathews County school. Big Beta will include games, a yard sale, concession stand, a pet show and many other attractions.

The THMS Junior Beta Club recently won numerous awards at the State Beta Convention, but was unable to advance to the national conference this year due to lack of funds. Big Beta, the first fundraising event for the 2015-2016 school year, will benefit future trips.

The yard sale is being held as part of the countywide community yard sale. Tables can be rented for $15. In addition, vendors will be on hand selling their wares, including Origami Owl, Thirty-One Gifts, Scentsy, Pampered Chef, Homemade Stationery and Cards by Tanya Childress, Designs by Roe, Crafts by Ann Mann, Designed to a T, LuLaRoe women’s fashions, and Tupperware.
