Third undefeated season for GHS JV field hockey

The Gloucester High School junior varsity field hockey team wrapped up its third consecutive undefeated season with a 10-0 win at Warwick on Oct. 19. 

Leading scorers Megan Crowley and Hannah Hamay had three goals each. Ella Poulson scored twice and goals came from Christina Riva and Lily Perger. The team outshot the Raiders, 42-0. 

Crowley also had four assists, Aubrey Dorsey had three, Abbie Thornton and Riva had two each and assists came from Bayleigh Andersen, Lucy Ramos, Alexis Adams and Lauren Harvey. 

Crowley led the team scoring this season with 32 goals and 34 assists, followed by Hamay with 18 goals and Dorsey with 13. Adams had 14 scoring assists and Thornton had 12. 

The team fired 395 shots on their opponents’ cages this season while allowing only 13. The junior Dukes tallied 115 goals while allowing only 2 and earned 141 penalty corners while only allowing seven.
