‘Then and Now’ aerial photo display part of May Faire

Local aerial photographers David and Linda Grow of Bena will be at the historic Mathews Courthouse at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, May 4, to present “Mathews from the Air—Then and Now,” a display of photographs of Mathews County landmarks, from 60 years ago to the present day.

The photographic display is a part of the county’s May Faire spring heritage celebration, sponsored by the Mathews Historical Museum. It is the first of three programs to be held in the courthouse that day, with the second focusing on the Family and Consumer Science class and students at Thomas Hunter Middle School, and the third considering the daffodil industry in Mathews County.

These programs are part of May Faire’s focus on various aspects of the county’s history.
