The Tompkins Cottage in Mathews was open to visitors on Saturday during the Thanksgiving Farmers’ Market held on the Court Green. Simply decorated in period-appropriate style, the cottage was ready for Thanksgiving, with a simple meal of oysters, crackers, and fruit gracing the table.
