The Mathews County School Board, at its Oct. 18 meeting, thanked the division’s maintenance staff for keeping the buildings running smoothly. School board chairman Desmond Smith presented certificates of appreciation to Donnie Hall, William Earl Sadler and Shannon Cook, from left. Hall also received a plaque on his retirement; he will step down at the end of November after 18 years with Mathews schools.
