Editor, Gazette-Journal:

I am thankful for the organizations, staff and volunteers that give their time, money and hearts to the animals in our area that find themselves homeless, injured, neglected, abused or in other trouble.

Among those working to help the animals by giving them a safe harbor, food, comfort, health care, love, and ultimately—caring homes, are the Animal Care Society (ACS), Animal Resource Fund (ARF), Animal Control Outreach Rescue Network (ACORN), the Gloucester-Mathews-Middlesex Humane Society (GMMHS) and individual good Samaritans. I’m very grateful that this network exists, and encourage everyone to share their time and financial support with them, and thank these groups and volunteers for all that they do for the animals.
