The Mission and Evangelism team of Central United Methodist Church, Mathews, recognizes businesses in the county that have a positive effect on the community. The Mathews branch of Chesapeake Bank has invested money as well as time and effort in numerous enterprises, such a local diaper drive, Toys4Tots collection site, and collecting school supplies for students. In recognition of all the bank has done, the employees of Chesapeake Bank were presented with a thank-you card and treated to a homemade pie.
