Terrapin Cove sewer extension could be ready this summer

Sanitary sewer hookups for more than two dozen Gloucester Point residences might be available this summer, utility officials said at a public meeting Monday night.

 

During a meeting for the Terrapin Cove sewer extension project held at Watermen’s Hall on the Virginia Institute of Marine Science campus at Gloucester Point, public utilities director Marty Schlesinger said that if things run smoothly, an early summer connection might be possible. But Schlesinger said that a number of factors have to all fall into place before the sewer expansion can come about.

 

First, Schlesinger said that bids being received until this Friday must come in at or under the $250,000 that the Gloucester County Board of Supervisors has authorized for the project.
