Teresa Ellen Powell, 60, of Mathews County, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 16, 2016, surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her son, Sean Powell; her parents, Wade and Mary Ellen Powell, and her sister and brother-in-law, Lynne and Joe Davenport. 

She was, and will always be, an incredible mother, daughter, and sister. She devoted much of her life to her management job at Hardee’s because she had a passion for the restaurant business that she had from a younger age. She loved people and spent her life taking care of people from the moment she met them. Her life, her love, humor and selflessness will never be forgotten.

A celebration of her life took place at Cornerstone Fellowship Church in Mathews on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 2 p.m.
