Teagle wins silver medal in ODAC meet

Washington and Lee University freshman Jack Teagle, the son of Pete and Rachel Teagle of Gloucester Court House, took home a silver medal Sunday in men’s high jump at the 2018 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Indoor Track Championships.

Teagle finished with a jump height of 1.91 meters, or just over 6 feet 3 inches. This was a personal record and represented his first collegiate medal.

He also set a personal record in the 60-meter high hurdles. For his performance, Teagle was named to the All-ODAC First Team.

As a whole, the Generals took the indoor track championship for the men, defeating Bridgewater by four points. 

Teagle and the rest of the team will next compete at the Tufts National Qualifying Meet and the Roanoke Maroons NCAA Final Qualifier this coming Saturday. ...
