Taylor’s Do it Center presented a $15,325 check last week to Team Bear’s Wreaths Across America fundraising effort. Team Bear is a local fundraising group for Wreaths Across America, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that coordinates wreath-laying ceremonies every December on National Wreaths Across America Day at more than 4,000 participating veterans’ cemeteries across the country and abroad.

Taylor’s Do it Center successfully concluded its seventh annual in-store fundraising campaign for Wreaths Across America throughout November. The 11-store local hardware chain partnered with its sister company, Pleasants Hardware in Richmond, to raise a total of $34,350.

On Dec. 14, Taylor’s Do it Center presented a check to Bre Kingsbury, Team Captain for Team Bear, whose effort is focused on Arlington National Cemetery. The remaining balance will be allocated to support wreath-laying ceremonies at other local veterans’ cemeteries in Hampton Roads and Greater Richmond.
