With the announcement by the IRS and Virginia that the tax deadline has been extended to May 17, the Middle Peninsula TaxAide group has also extended its tax preparation season with additional appointments.
The Gloucester Public Library, Main Street Center, will begin taking appointments Mondays and Saturdays on April 24 and will continue until May 10; Mathews Memorial Library will take appointments on Fridays until April 16.
Call 804-654-1407 for appointments at either library. Tax-preparation packets are available at both libraries and need to be picked up and filled out prior to your appointment. Do not call either library for an appointment.
Gloucester Point Baptist Church, located on Terrapin Cove Road, will be handing out tax preparation packets on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. through April 14. Appointments will be made when you pick up the packet. Do not call the church for an appointment.
