TANNER SEARS

Tanner Sears of Gloucester, was born on August 19, 2002; he was a kind and gentle man. He left this world Sunday, April 27, 2025, far too soon, leaving behind a void that can never be filled. Tanner was a soul who touched the hearts of everyone around him with his warmth and quiet strength. Even as he grappled with understanding the complexities of life, he was still a good friend to all. Standing tall in both stature and spirit, he had a heart that radiated kindness, always ready to lend a hand or offer a comforting smile. He approached the world with a gentle curiosity, often pondering its mysteries in his own unique way. Though he struggled to find his place in a world that can be harsh and unforgiving, Tanner’s goodness never wavered. He was a man who loved deeply, cared profoundly, and left an indelible mark on his family and friends. The world may never know the full extent of who Tanner could have become, but those who loved him will forever cherish the man he was—a brother, a friend, and a beacon of gentleness in a chaotic world. His untimely departure reminds us to hold our loved ones close and to seek understanding and compassion in all we do. Tanner was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mildred Atherton and Richard Armistead. Tanner is survived by his mother, Amy Armistead; brothers, Aaron Forrest and Kyle Shipley; uncles, Keith Armistead, Troy Armistead (Cindy Nudgent), Joey Atherton (Grace). In memory of Tanner, the family asks that you honor him by extending a kind word or gesture to someone in need, reflecting the gentle spirit he embodied every day.
