Gloucester High School track runner Tanner Baker finished first in the boys’ 800m dash with a time of 2:06.28 at last Thursday’s track meet at Todd Stadium in Newport News.

Conner O’Beirne and Alec Daniel were right behind Baker, finishing the race in second and third places with time of 2:10.98 and 2:16.28, respectively. Brandon Carucci finished the same race with a time of 2:49.12.

Baker, Daniel, Tyler Hicks and Saige Miller finished second in the boys’ 4x400m relay with a time of 3:49.62.Ryan Allcorn, Clayton Miller, Ian Waters and Wyatt Pruitt finished fourth in the boys’ 4x800m relay with a time of 9:55.73.

In the 100m dash, Hicks finished with a time of 12.50, followed by Miller (12.61) and Peyton Cherkauer (13.48). Hicks also competed in the 200m dash and finished at (25.21), followed by Miller (25.47) and Devin Lowney (29.12).

Daniel ran a 54.39 in the 400m relay, followed by Clayton Miller (1:01.15), Pace Peterson (1:02.65), Ethan Pincince (1:09.42) and Jacob Poul...
