TAMMIE DIANA (LONG) DEMARCO-BROWN

A beloved mother, daughter, sister, niece, aunt, cousin and friend, Tammie of Gloucester, transitioned from life into eternity unexpectedly on Oct. 13, 2021 at 51 years old. Born on June 1, 1970 in Thomasville, North Carolina, Tammie graduated from Poquoson High School, Poquoson, Va. She went on to be a college graduate; earning two associate degrees: one in accounting and one in business. Tammie was a member of Cornerstone Fellowship Church, Mathews, Va. Tammie was a dedicated mother first and foremost. Raising four children, she treasured each one and embraced every moment with them. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh, making friends everywhere she went. The students she transported through the school system as a bus driver and bus aide loved her dearly. Tammie had a genuine way of connecting with anyone and making them feel right at home.

She was the loving and devoted mother of Krystle “Cheyenne” and husband Korre Woods of Lynchburg, Va., Logan Demarco of Gloucester, Va., Chloe Brown of Gloucester, and Grace Brown of Gloucester; loving daughter of Jerry Long Sr. of N.C.; Diana (Hill) Burell of Gloucester, and William S. Burell Jr. of Selma, Ala.; beloved sister of Angelia and husband Lenoris Weaver of Citronelle, Ala., Jerry Long and wife Michelle of Staley, N.C., Marty Long and wife Ashley of Poquoson; adored aunt of Jacob Watts, Topping, Va., Tyler Watts of Lynchburg, Va., Rachael Watts of Newport News, Va., Eden Long of Alamogordo, N.M., Aaron Long of Asheboro, N.C., Moriah Long of Charlotte, N.C., Lorna Thompson of Hertford, N.C., Savannah Long of Staley, N.C., Madison Mann of Poquoson, Clayton Long of Poquoson, Jordan Long of Poquoson, and Presley Long of Poquoson; cherished great-aunt of eight nieces and nephews with one on the way.
