Talk to focus on climate change effects on coral reefs

An After Hours Lecture, titled “Climate, coral reefs, and resilience,” will be presented at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25, at Watermen’s Hall on the Virginia Institute of Marine Science campus, Gloucester Point.

Britt Parker, a VIMS alumna who is now climate coordinator with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Coral Reef Conservation Program, will discuss how climate change and ocean acidification threaten coral reefs worldwide.
