Tropical Storm Elsa, the first Atlantic storm of the 2021 hurricane season, is heading this way, expected to make its presence felt locally this afternoon through Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
Tropical storm conditions are possible tonight, with strong winds and rainfall amounts between one and two inches possible. By Friday afternoon, the storm is expected to be centered somewhere around Rhode Island as it winds its way up the Atlantic coast.
