T.C. Walker mural dedicated

A chilly rain did not stop a small crowd from gathering under a tent on Gloucester’s Main Street Sunday afternoon for a dedication of the T.C. Walker mural. Kamilah Turner of Mathews, bottom left photo, paid tribute to Walker with an original dance choreographed by Hope Andrews Hunter. Other presenters included local historian Dorothy C. Cooke, at right, as well as Del. Keith Hodges (R-Urbanna), Bill Thomas Jr. of Hampton University, the Honorable Thomas Boyd and the artist Michael Rosato, who drew and painted the mural.
