The T.C. Walker Educational Center auditorium should be in use for public meetings early next year, said Scott Varner, director of the Gloucester Department of Information Technology.
In a Nov. 13 memorandum to County Administrator Brenda Garton, Varner said the gymnasium, which is currently being used for storage, should be ready for use by Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism by March 1.
Additional school facilities, including classrooms for meetings and seminars, will be phased in over time as the classrooms need to be renovated and prepared for use, Varner said.
