A huge crowd turned out on Saturday night to enjoy the 25th year of Gloucester hosting the Virginia Symphony Orchestra. Part of this month’s Gloucester Arts Festival, the VSO performed a selection of Broadway tunes in the tent set up on the Riverside Walter Reed Hospital grounds for the free concert. Before the VSO musicians took the stage, the Liberty Dolls (Rebecca Hart, J.J. Rodgers Brazil and Becky Hogge, from left in photo below) entertained the crowd with popular tunes from the 1940s, ‘50s and ‘60s. The Gloucester Arts Festival, a project of the Cook Foundation, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.
