Lorraine Forrest was sworn in as an interim member of the Mathews County School Board on Dec. 21, by Elizabeth Brown of Mathews Circuit Court, at right. Forrest was chosen by the school board last month to fill the position left vacant when Jeanice Sadler stepped down. A special election for the remainder of Sadler’s term will be held in November.
