Susan Leslie Insley, 43, of Gloucester, died Jan. 16, 2013 at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital.

Susan loved children to whom she was a nurturer. Her hobbies were gardening and horses. She devoted much of her time to the children at daycare and her friends. She loved to laugh and lived life to the fullest. We will miss her and always keep her memory alive in our hearts.

She is survived by her son, Dennis Ray Insley Jr.; companion, Sonny Hansford; parents, Arnold and Susan Parkinson; brother, Scott Parkinson; sisters, Heather and Margie Parkinson; Sonny’s sons, Duane, Stephen and Jason Hansford, and daughter, Linda Thompson, and granddaughter, Stormy Thompson, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A service of celebration of her life, conducted by the Rev. Randy Garner, was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
