Susan Gail Decker, 71, died at her Gloucester home on June 17, 2019. 

Susan was born April 3, 1948 in California to Robert F. and Helen W. Decker. She retired in 2009 from George Washington University as an executive secretary. Following retirement Susan moved to Gloucester to be a caregiver for her parents.

She enjoyed traveling, gardening, music, being outdoors and was an avid bird-watcher. Susan was a free spirit and she loved life. We will always remember her smile, her warmth, her energy, and her love for life, family and friends. Even after retirement, she continued to work tirelessly, making sure her parents were both cared for and loved. She made a difference in the lives of many. 

Susan was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Michael Glenn Farrer, and grandchild, Micah.

She leaves to cherish her memory, son, Angelo Farrer (wife Cheryl); daughters, Lisa Defibaugh (husband Jordan) and Hope Hernandez; grandchildren, Ashley, Rachel, Reid, Danny, Lucas, Sofia and Poppy; great-grandson, Aden, and brothers, James “Jim” Decker and Robert “Bob” Decker.

Susie, you will be remembered by your sweet smile and kind heart always and forever. We will cherish every memory, until we meet again.

A Celebration of Life for Susan will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2019, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Inurnment will be private.
