The Abingdon Ruritan Club made a call on the American Legion Gloucester Post 75 recently at the post headquarters to make a presentation of donation checks. Liz Turner, chair of the club’s Citizen and Patriotism Committee, at right, presented three checks to 1st Vice Commander Martin Van Buskirk: Boys’ State received a donation of $500, Girls’ State $535, and Youth Law Enforcement received $250.
