At a recent Piankatank Ruritan Club meeting, club treasurer Alice Dennis presented a $1,150 check to Tim Roscher, commander of American Legion Post 83, Mathews, to sponsor two Mathews High School students to attend Boys State and Girls State summer leadership programs.
