Supporting scouting

The Gloucester Ruritan Club held its August annual picnic at Beaverdam Park. Joining the Ruritans were Rose Taylor, Zone 4 Lt. Governor and her husband Rick, as well as leaders and members of Girl Scout Troop 1055 and Boy Scout Troop 113, who talked about their projects. Club president Jackie Beyea presented each of the scout troops a $100 check. In top photo, Beyea presents a check to Troop 113 Leader John Anderson and his son, Matthew. Below, she hands the check to Troop 1055 Leader Jennie Hawkins and her daughter, Jade.
