The Gloucester Board of Supervisors will appoint the new board chair and vice chair for 2021 during its meeting Tuesday. This will be the first meeting of the new year, and will be held at 7 p.m. via electronic means.

The board will hold a public hearing to consider a Conditional Use Permit application, CUP 20-04, for Flat Iron Crossroads. The application proposes to modify the conditions of approval associated with the existing event facility. The application was forwarded to the board by the Gloucester County Planning Commission, which received the application from Ray Friend. Friend is seeking a modification to an existing CUP to allow for outside music.

There will also be an update given on the state of the cable franchise renewal process with Cox Communications. For several months, the Telecommunications Committee has been working on an agreement with Cox to renew Gloucester’s partnership with them. The update will conclude with a request for a public hearing.
