Supervisors to discuss updated emergency plan

The Gloucester County Board of Supervisors will discuss an updated emergency operations plan for the county during its meeting Tuesday night in the colonial courthouse. The meeting is set to begin at 7 o’clock.

The board is also expected to discuss its legislative agenda for the upcoming session of the Virginia General Assembly. A closed meeting is also scheduled to discuss the potential disposition of an interest in real property.

In addition, the board has a public hearing, which will begin at 7:30, to consider amendments to county code pertaining to animal welfare and control. The proposed changes would reflect the recent state law amendment to the definition of a dangerous dog; duties and authority of animal control officers and humane investigators; limitations; records and penalties.
