Supervisors to discuss reducing size of planning commission

The Gloucester County Board of Supervisors, when it meets Tuesday night, is expected to discuss reducing the size of the planning commission from its current 13 members.

The supervisors’ meeting will be held in the colonial courthouse starting at 7 p.m.

Also on Tuesday’s board agenda is a discussion on whether to fund the position of assistant county administrator for human services. It was vacated earlier this year after the retirement of Georgette Hurley and supervisors have been debating whether to fill the position.

A third discussion Tuesday night will be whether to proceed with submitting a Land and Water Conservation grant for Woodville Park. The grant, in excess of $300,000, requires a local match and would be used to hook the park up to water and sewer and install bathrooms and concessions at the site.
