Supervisors have packed agenda Tuesday

The Gloucester County Board of Supervisors appears to have a heavy agenda for its meeting Tuesday night, which is scheduled to begin at 7 o’clock in the colonial courthouse.

Under regular agenda items, the board is expected to discuss its emergency operations center build-out plan and review a study report on regionalization of area sewer systems.

The board is also expected to consider a report on calendar year 2013 tax relief for the elderly and disabled, and discuss the Virginia Local Disability Program.

Supervisors will also hear the Coastal Floodplain Management Plan annual review and may review the county’s emergency operations plan.

In other news, Gloucester Sheriff Darrell Warren will bring to the board a request to consider an amendment to county code relative to the purchase of firearms by retiring police officers.

The board will also host a discussion on its legislative priorities for the upcoming 2014 Virginia General Assembly session.
