The Gloucester Board of Supervisors held a joint meeting with members of the county’s Economic Development Authority Tuesday night in the T.C. Walker Education Center auditorium where the two boards started considering the future of the county.
The conversation mostly centered around potential growth in residents and businesses in the county, especially when the tolls on the George P. Coleman Memorial Bridge are removed at the end of the calendar year.
“We are going to see some significant growth because of that,” said supervisor Phil Bazzani.
Fellow supervisor Chris Hutson disagreed with Bazzani’s statement. “We’re not going to have a lot of development or increased population the way we’re doing things,” said Hutson.
