Sunny skies for Saturday’s Garden Tour

  

“We had a great day,” said Jane Worthington, chairman of the 2018 Garden Tour of Gloucester that was held Saturday. She estimated just under 1,000 attended, which was up from numbers in the past.

“For one thing, it was sunny, and I believe the weather had a good deal to do with it,” said Worthington, who reported there were no incidents over the course of the day.

She said about 300 volunteers, including members of the Garden Club of Gloucester, come together to make the annual tour possible. “Head hostesses, ticket takers, hostesses, flower arrangers, car parkers—it’s a well-oiled machine,” she said.

“It was a happy, sunny day, the flower arrangements were beautiful. I couldn’t be more pleased,” said Worthington.
