Gloucester County Public Library, Main Street Center, will hold its Summer Reading Kick-Off event on Saturday from 10 a.m. until noon.
The community is invited to stop by the library to register for the Summer Reading Program and enjoy snacks, games, face-painting and a petting zoo. Each registrant will receive a free tote bag, while supplies last.
People of all ages can stop by the Main Library or Point Branch to register for the Summer Reading Program, which runs from June 6 through July 31. Read or listen to books and complete activities to earn prizes.
Crafts
The library will have patriotic-themed take-and-make potholder craft kits available for adults 18 and older June 21-27 at both branches. Sewists and crafters of all skill levels will be able to assemble an American flag or star-themed kitchen potholder. Registration begins June 7. All registrants must have an active library card.
