Mathews High School held a brief commencement ceremony for its five summer graduates on Tuesday night in the school’s Harry M. Ward Auditorium. The program was held after the start of the monthly Mathews County School Board meeting, with school board members and others leaving that meeting and walking down the hallway to attend the ceremony, joining friends and family already in attendance.
